When I found out we won the contest, I was thrilled to get the opportunity to wear a dress from Maddison Row! Lea Dales PhotographyWe met our photographer, Lea Dales, for lunch at the Mills House. The lunch was amazing and it was great to talk to Lea about the wedding and details of the photos. Lea was great and had some awesome ideas for the wedding pictures. Scan it!So we finally registered at Macy’s! It was actually a very enjoyable experience. We went completely unprepared, we did not have any lists made or even ideas of what we needed but luckily, Rhonda, the wedding registry consultant, was a huge help! She gave us a list of items most couples need when they start [...] I like them all!We recently got to go to Ashley Bakery while we were in Charleston for the weekend. We were able to meet Hayden and her mother, who owned and ran the bakery. They were so welcoming and nice and not to mention extremely talented. Jaime went through three massive books with photos of their previous work. [...] Play that Funky MusicWell unfortunately Erik and I have a slightly different taste in music. We both tend to love good ol’ 90’s rock (you know Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Weezer) but we seem to disagree in the country and rap categories. I pretty much love country and rap and Erik, well let’s just say he [...] Something to celebrate!This past Friday I flew into Charleston and met with Sara from Something to Celebrate and the ladies at the CVB. We discussed all of the details of the wedding (and there are a lot!). It was fun to start brainstorming about the wedding theme, colors, and menu! I knew I wanted a “southern” wedding [...] Let the planning begin!We have begun planning for our wedding already, but I will finally get to meet some of the vendors on Saturday, November 29 in Charleston. Jaime has been coordinating with our wedding planner, Sara Cavallon, Something to Celebrate, who has set up a schedule for the day. I am so thankful to have a planner to assist [...] |
