Honey, can I plan the honeymoon?

As the wedding planning begins, I am slowly realizing that I’m not exactly cut out for picking flower colors or napkin patterns.  So Jaime and I decided I should focus my efforts elsewhere.

While she is hard at work with the wedding planner on the details of the wedding, I am planning the after-party – THE HONEYMOON!  Don’t get me wrong… I am above all else excited to get married to Jaime.  But I can’t deny that I’m very excited to plan the honeymoon!

There are so many amazing places that we could visit, but we are looking at Bora Bora, Mexico, Hawaii and Thailand.  Right now my top pick is Hawaii.  Jaime and I have never been there, but we have always wanted to.  And you can’t beat the perfect weather all year-round!  Jaime really wants to go parasailing, and I would definitely like to scuba dive or snorkel… so the beach is a must. We will definitely want some relaxation after the craziness of the wedding, but we don’t want to miss out on a little adventure.

We are only in the beginning phase of honeymoon planning, so I’m still doing my research.  If anyone, has suggestions for honeymoon locations, activities, or accommodations, please feel free to let me know!

Yeah! Congrats to you two! I went on my honeymoon in 2005 to Kaui, Hawaii and it was PERFECT!!! It’s a small island you can basically drive in a day, with several beaches to explore and plenty of fun activities! We went 4 wheeling which was AMAZING! Jumped in some waterfalls, splashed in the mud…FUN! I tell everyone…go to KAUI! Can’t wait to hear what you pick! It will be amazing where ever you go!

I don’t know how long you guys have for a vacation, but I recommend Fiji or New Zealand – both have great beaches and there are “adventure packages” at each that include snorkling, scuba diving, horseback riding, etc. – The obvious downfall is the plane ride, but the currency exchange is GREAT and it is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Good luck with the planning, I know y’all will have a great time. Tell Jaime hello!

Congrats on winning the wedding contest. I voted for you guys everyday and I was excited when you guys won! On suggestions for your honeymoon, you’ll have to come down and visit us in Australia. We’re going into our summer season, so the weather will be fantastic plus the exchange rate is great. (At the moment, $1 US gets you about $1.47 Australian.) We’ve got The Whitsunday Islands up in Queensland, which is about an hour’s flight from Sydney. There’s so many islands up there with the popular ones being Brampton Island, Daydream Island, Hamilton Island, Hook Island, Lindeman Island, Long island & South Molle Island. Check out http://www.queenslandholidays.com.au

I went to Hawaii earlier this year and it such a beautiful place. I’ve never had such a relaxing holiday in all my life!
